As the famous comedian and actor Robin Williams once said..."Oh you wicked wicked monkey!" We've been horrible horrible bloggers eh? It seems we can't keep anything up to date even with two of us! For that we apologize profusely, although I speak for only myself, and want any readers to know it's never intentional to keep you all in what we can only assume is edge-of-the-chair suspense. Therefore, I ask you to once again continue reading until you finish the bottom where you get to comment and tell us how ridiculous this attempt was, comprende? Awesome.

Now, where do I begin? I suppose you all want to know what the futterwacken we've been doing all this time. Or perhaps never cared and only scrolled to see if what we were wearing was anything acceptable to buy with your hard earned cash. Either way, I'll choose to answer option one and take it from there. Abi has been so busy dealing with her RL (you know, that thing that calls for food, sleep, and bathroom breaks?) and with replacing the house due to some crazy texture screw up, which hasn't allowed her much time to blog. As for myself? I've made some big changes and still in the process of changing both in RL and SL. Being unemployed after college for more than 2 months has proven to be too much for some adults in my life, creating a tension surrounded by the question "when" and has evolved into a sore subject for me. Before I go ranting (next time when I'm not so exhausted, yes?), I will say that before september I plan to get a job. Somewhere....anywhere I guess. But that actually means I have to apply to something then. So while I'm doing that and trying to drag myself from the beautiful virtual world we love so much, go live it up for me there in that perpetual paradise.

I planned on writing more but my mind has decomposed at such an absurd rate that this sentence may not even make sense by the time I add punctuation. *peeks* Am I right?

Why Hello there, Its me.. Abi.. Remember me?  The one that forgets she has a blog..

Well, to be honest, Ive taken about 13 pics to be blogged and never made it this far lol. So i thought now would be a good time to get a couple taken off the list. Duchess and me are almost fully done with the house, The only thing we have left is the small details that make a house a home.  I think i'm allergic to moving *achoo*so we wont be doing it again anytime soon if i can do anything about it.

I have been in a little bit of a funk, I found out that a very good friend has stage 1 breast cancer. I must admit i think she is dealing with it a lot better then me and i'm not the one going through it. The good news is that its in the very begging stage and it hasn't spread. But the C word isn't anything to be take lightly. I Haven't really been the happy me lately, and that's pretty much why, so if you see me moping around sl that's why.

Since Kyoot released a super cute bikini for 50L friday I thought i would go with a summer theme.

 
I'm really loving all the vintage inspired prints lately, sometimes i think i should have been a teen in the 70's lol.  The shoes are from Ingenue and i love love love love them sooo much! i haven't taken them off Since i got them, and that's a big thing since i am short, and love heels LOL.

My hair is from Exile. Now i haven't always been the biggest fan of Exile, But i love the newest release!

This Ruined Puzzle

Ohai!

It's Duchess today, and I have to say, I am free from the chains of education... well, at least for now. I've officially finished my last year of college, having graduated two Saturdays ago, and have been living it up, sleeping all day, SLing all night, and having a generally good time. As I (supposedly) prepare myself mentally to entering the career world full time, I've taken a little down time to update the ol' bloggo with some goodies I've recently purchased!

Because Abi and I have been setting up our new land and house, we rewarded ourselves with a mini trip to {Happy} and Lisp for some much needed wardrobe and furniture updating. I have to say, I'm a big fan of shopping and when it comes to furniture, I'm very cautious in what I buy. Not only do I battle with prices and quality, but also with usability. LISP is amazing in all three categories with amazing prices (I spent about 2,000L for an entire bedroom set, table/chair combination with decorations, and some other knick knacks), beautiful quality and details in every piece, and both realistic and well made animations. I didn't even have to adjust the positions! My new bedset (pictured) is called the Nepali Sunset bedroom set, which also comes in a beautiful gold and pink tone as well (separate) of course. The background table and chair set is also from Lisp called the Coastal Set. They work well with the bedroom set but could easily match other pieces from the store. 

Following my huuuuuge paragraph that you may have been skimming for product names only comes a paragraph describing my current look. You'll find that some items are frequently repeated in my posts, mainly due to my inability to find anything better, or at least anything that I like more. Blah blah blah... right? Okay, so like I said, Abi and I magically teleported to the {Happy} mainstore to pick up a few items. I found about 6 pieces that I was really dying to buy (tempted to fatpack even) but those are to be blogged about another day! Today, right now, at this single moment in time, I'm wear the following awesome items that you can pick up cheap at the store, including the gorgeous Confidence Blouse (in white) and Little Miss Sassy slack (in Cream). I paired these items with some lingerie from The Whore, a cute, girly, naughty little store. This particular lingerie set is called Delice Lingerie Dots White, and comes in a variety of colors to fit all your girly desires. I'd suggest running over if you want some cute things that you want a good looking guy or gal to see (in case you bat for your own team of course, WOMAN). Ok, so guys MAY be reading but, I'm going to step out on the limb and say probably not. Last, I finish it off with my favorite PixelMode shoes, the Baby T's in silver. These shoes are beyond amazing and great for casual outfits, such as the one for this post, as well as some dressier outfits that crave heels.

Shopaholic

Hi, I'm Abi, and I'm a shopaholic.

To my defense there has been tons and tons of sales in the last month, But I have gone a bit shopping mad. This post is dedicated to artilleri. That just happens to be the last shop I stopped at on my little shopping binge so its what I will be wearing in this post. I loooooove the 50's housewife look, I don't know why, but I cant get enough. So when i heard there was a sale at artilleri, I couldn't help but squee and run over to see. 50% of everythinggggg! (I think)

I know I'm oh so creative with my pictures today LOL. but well, instead of pretty backgrounds you can just look at clothes!

Straight to Blog

So we're back! It's been a lazy and crazy-filled month for us both in SL and RL, with new jobs, the end of my last semester in college, and the great journey into adulthood ahead of me. However, we finally set time aside to bring you a combined post with fashion, fun, and good tunes! First off, Abi and I rushed over like the other billion fashionable women on the grid, to grab the new release of Elikatira called 'Paper' (and 'Theory' for some of us who didn't get a chance to grab it).  I (Duch) adore Elika for releasing the essentials color collection because so often I'm changing hues and it can get quite spendy trying to keep up with that kind of habit. Next we hit TART for her gorgeous low priced jeans (seriously, 200L for 5 colors, you couldn't possibly get a better deal) which come with the standard pants layer, underwear layer, and two versions of cuffs for heels and flats. Throwing on these two items, we both quickly started adding accessories, and soon found ourselves to be a prime example of opposites attracting!

As Duchey has hinted to in the first post, I will be the co-pilot, partner-in-crime, Canadian fashionista who goes by the sultry name of Abigale! Abi for short, I'm a Secondlife mom (as well as a child on my alt) who has been in world since 2007 (just over 3 years for those who don't want to do the math). My SL is full of jobs, shopping, having fun, raising kids, and trying to find my Mr. Right. As a contributor, I hope to blog about more than fashion, but rather my experiences within this beautiful pixel world that so many of us call home. Fashion is certainly to be expected (I don't think you could comprehend the amount of things I have lingering in my inventory), but I will also be mentioning my crazy SL work as a wedding planner, part-time DJ, pet market manager, and land sales agent. I'm a Queen of all trades and I'm laying the cards out for you to call or fold.

A Fresh Start

I officially welcome you to the start of the White Trash Debutantes blog ball. Since I first started fiddling with a computer, I instantly knew I'd want to be a blogger, someone who could share ideas, pictures, memories, and joy with those who felt compelled to read. After keeping a hobby blog based around my animals, I decided that what I wanted most was to start a blog about me, my friends, and my secondlife. This week I hope to introduce another author, if she chooses to take on the role of co-psycho, and along with that, begin a journey with our readers that will most certainly be filled with craziness, sadness, joy, humility, and passion. We love who we are, what we do, and would be honored to share it with you.

The first few posts will be dedicated to learning more about the people behind the blog and with that, I introduce you to yours truly, Duchess. I have been playing Secondlife for almost 5 years and with that amount of play time I've spent thousands of dollars, had my handful of SL lovers, dealt with dramallamas, roleplayed almost everything imaginable (if even for a day), and seen pretty much everything. Very few things surprise me but these days I find myself wanting more. I'm at the tender age of 22 and a college student finishing up her degree in English literature. Before you ask, I can certainly answer-- no, I do not plan on teaching. Life will soon change and with the end of homework will be the arrival of reality. I only hope I can entertain you enough to keep you coming back for more.

Along with that I thought I'd post not only a mugshot but an outfit shot, one that I am crazy in love with. That's right, we'll be providing the typical fashionista type blog posts, with information included on how you can be a copy of me.... or at least, feed your shopping habit.
